Ekphrasis

I hope to leave the world much better from when I was first introduced to it with communities nurturing flourishing against suffering while I try hard to pay attention to the present, the liminal, and the memories these two leave me with to monumentalize for the good of those we coexist with now and those who will come after we pass.

My life's work today and from years back interlink an ecosystem in conservation and innovation that questions contemporary landscapes in crises, brings into being new possibilities for education, technology, and one another, and deepens relationships with the natural world.

By day, I am a first year-standing undergrad scholar at the Philippines' top university, intrigued by the poetic and purposive potential of data and technology in engineering artifacts, experiences, and systems towards what is beautiful, efficient, and just; that is why I study mathematics, statistics, and their intersections with economics, ethics, forecasting, machine learning, and storytelling—a marriage to my decade-worth humanities background in the literary, performing, & visual arts.

At night, I reconcile theory with praxis through our high school club-turned critical technology institute, Developh, and I incubate the potential of friends in augmenting their positive impact with the prospective careers and available resources they have.

When withdrawing from these multiverses, I return to humanity by climbing mountains, listening to alternative rock and musical theatre, bringing into being site-specific conceptual art, reading, or actually trying to sleep.

The venn diagram of all these I tried so hard to articulate in words as an attempt for legibility I avoid (because I am multitudes brevity cannot contain) and the explorations I have in existing have their remains archived into this blog—an ekphrasis of a life that is part garden and treasure trove while I learn and write through it.
